Simon Kenton coach Jeff Stowers started the following lineup: 6-0 Fr. Sereniti Webb, 5-9 Jr. Morgan Stamper, 6-0 Sr. Rachel Bush, 5-6 Jr. Maggi Jones, and 5-9 Jr. Mattie Vickers.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 So. Kenady Tompkins, 5-20 Sr. Maaliya Owens, 6-2 Jr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Juliette Smith, and 5-5 Jr. Morgan DeFoor.

 

Scott County raced out to a 26-14 first quarter lead on their way to a 74-63 victory over Simon Kenton.  Simon Kenton actually outscored Scott County 49-48 over the last three quarters of the game.  Scott County shot 45.9% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored seven points off 11 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 33.8% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.

 

Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 17 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Malea Williams added 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots.  Morgan DeFoor recorded 14 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Juliette Smith chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds, and seven assists.  Kenady Tompkins added nine points and six rebounds.  Malea Williams was named player of the game for Scott County.

 

Morgan Stamper led Simon Kenton with 16 points and nine rebounds.  Maggi Jones added 16 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.  Mattie Vickers recorded 14 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists.  Sereniti Webb chipped in with six points and nine rebounds.  Rachel Bush added four points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Frederick Douglass defeated Wayne County by a score of 71-63 in a game in which both teams shot above 50% from the field.  Frederick Douglass shot 59.2% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Broncos connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Wayne County turnovers.  Wayne County shot 51% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Frederick Douglass turnovers. 

 

DeShawn Jackson led Frederick Douglass with 16 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Rasaan Thompson added 16 points including four three point baskets.  Bilal Chhadh recorded 12 points on six of six from the field.  6-6 Sr. Brendan Reynolds chipped in with six points.  DeShawn Jackson was named player of the game for Frederick Douglass.

 

Thomas Spencer led Wayne County with 26 points and four steals.  Aubrey Weaver added 16 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Nathan Burks recorded eight point, six rebounds, and two assists.

Woodford County defeated Lafayette 68-65 in overtime.  The score was tied 10 times and there were 11 lead changes in the game.  Woodford County shot 54.5% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line.  The Yellow Jackets connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 45.8% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Woodford County turnovers.

 

5-6 Jr. Ashton Myles-Devore led Woodford County with 16 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Benjamin Nash added 15 points including two three point baskets, five of seven free throws, and four rebounds.  Anthony Tabor recorded 14 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.  6-1 Sr. Justin Alexander chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Brandon Cromwell added eight points, six rebounds, and six assists.  Corey George blocked three shots.  Anthony Tabor was named player of the game for Woodford County.

 

Evan Dreux led Lafayette with 20 points, three rebounds, and four steals.  Ray Surratt added 13 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists.  Caleb True recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.

Lincoln County defeated George Rogers Clark by a score of 76-57.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in the game.  Lincoln County shot 52.8% from the field including eight of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 George Rogers Clark turnovers.  George Rogers Clark shot 35.6% from the field including eight of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Maddy Boyle led Lincoln County with 21 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  Emma King added 19 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Kaitlynn Wilks recorded 17 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Zaria Napier chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Kaitlynn Wilks was named player of the game for Lincoln County.

 

Kennedy Igo led George Rogers Clark with 20 points including five three point baskets.  Hayley Harrison added 16 points including two three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Maleaha Bell recorded 13 points including six of seven free throws, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

Diablo Stewart led Scott County with 28 points including six three point baskets.  Terrin Hamilton added 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Bryce Long recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Lorenzo Williams chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Terrin Hamilton was named player of the game for Scott County.

 

Michael Green led Christian Academy (SC) with 33 points including six three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Davis Guyton added 12 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Jalen Busby chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Trinity Catholic (FL) led 48-37 after three quarters but had to withstand a furious Christian County rally to earn a 57-56 victory.  There were four lead changes and two ties in this game.  Trinity Catholic (FL) shot 52.6% from the field including 11 of 24 from the three point line.  The Saints connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Christian County turnovers.  Christian County shot 43.1% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Trinity Catholic (FL) turnovers.

 

Montez Leath led Trinity Catholic (FL) with 17 points including three three point baskets, six assists, and two steals.  Aziel Gainey added 15 points on five three point baskets.  Jarvy Gainey recorded 13 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Gunner Munn added five points, nine rebounds, and six assists.  Kyler Rodman recorded five points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Gunner Munn was named player of the game for Trinity Catholic (FL).

Eric Brody led Christian County with 20 points including five three point baskets.  Mikeon Mathis added 20 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Fred Tandy recorded 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, and six steals and was named player of the game for Christian County.

Scott County trailed 26-21 at halftime but outscored Trinity Catholic 32-14 in the third quarter on their way to a 69-51 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Turnovers doomed the Celtics as Scott County scored 31 points off 18 Trinity Catholic (FL) turnovers. 

 

Scott County shot 45.5% from the field including 11 of 28 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and held a 16-0 advantage in bench points.  Trinity Catholic (FL) shot 47.4% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Celtics connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Scott County turnovers.

Lincoln County raced out to a 35-10 lead in the second quarter on their way to a 65-52 victory over Simon Kenton.  Simon Kenton outscored Lincoln County 39-28 in the second half.  Lincoln County shot 49.1% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 32.7% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 13 of 26 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 Lincoln County turnovers.

Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 19 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Morgan DeFoor added 15 points including three three point baskets.  5-1 So. Braylee McMath recorded 14 points including seven of eight free throws.  Kenady Tompkins added 11 points including nine of 10 free throws and 10 rebounds.  Malea Williams recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Braylee McMath was named player of the game for Scott County.

Eric Brody led Christian County with 22 points including three three point baskets, five of seven free throws, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  5-8 Jr. Stephen Bussell added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Fred Tandy and Mikeon Mathis each scored eight points.

Glenn Covington scored on a layup with six seconds remaining in the game to give Scott County a 64-62 victory over Woodford County.  There were six lead changes and five ties in the game.  Scott County held a 28-13 lead in the game but Woodford County rallied to catch up.

 

Scott County shot 37.9% from the field including seven of 29 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 46.2% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Yellow Jackets connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Scott County turnovers.

 

Lorenzo Williams led Scott County with 16 points including five of six free throws, and 11 rebounds.  Diablo Stewart added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Glenn Covington recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Terrin Hamilton chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.  Lorenzo Williams was named player of the game for Scott County.

 

Brandon Cromwell led Woodford County with 22 points including nine of 11 free throws, 12 rebounds, and four assists.  Hunter Penn added 14 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Benjamin Nash recorded 14 points including two three point baskets.  Corey George chipped in with six points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
