There were fifteen teams entered in this tournament and were placed into four pools as follows: Pool A: Casey County, Foley, Edythe J. Hayes, and Valley. Pool B: Southern (LEX), West Jessamine, King Middle, and Meece. Pool C: Southwestern Pulaski, Eastside, Woodford County, and Estill County, and Pool D: Elkhorn, Rockcastle County, and Mason County. Each team will play in two pool games and then enter the tournament. Losers of the first round will be entered in the Gold Bracket while the victors will advance to the Championship Tournament Bracket.

Championship |
Coach Absher’s Meece team led by 5th Grader Jaelyn Dye’s 34 points defeated Mason County by a score of 55-40 to earn the championship. Meece went 6-0 for the weekend with an average victory margin of 18.7 points per game.
All Tournament First Team – Jaelyn Dye (Meece) (MVP), Haley Combs (Meece), Sophie Barnes (Meece), Amirah Reed (Mason County), Josilin Shields (Mason County), Kylie Alvin (Valley), Jordyn McDonald (Southwestern Pulaski), Hadley French (Foley), Isabella Lewis (West Jessamine), Landon Blythe (Elkhorn), Mikalee Bennett (Edythe J. Hayes), and Teight Yeast (King Middle).
All Tournament Second Team – Elizabeth Forbes (Casey County), Anna Tinelli (Eastside), Ava Hale (Estill County), Taylor King (Rockcastle County), Claire Marshall (Woodford County), and Peyton Avilez (Southern LEX).
Congratulations to all the participants in another excellent middle school event put on by the superb staff at the Kentucky Basketball Commission. Also congratulations to Meece and to Jaelyn Dye who put on one of the best performances ever put on at this age level in this facility.
