Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Josie Gilvin, 5-8 Fr. Reagan Bender, 6-0 Jr, Alexandria Wolff, 5-5 So.Triniti Ralston, and 5-6 Sr.Maggie Montano.  Knott County Central coach Jeff Honeycutt countered with 5-8 Sr, Keara Mullins, 5-7 Jr. Brooke Mason, 5-8 So. Sacred Heart Academy outscored Knott County Central 22-4 in the second quarter on their way to a 64-32 victory.  Sacred Heart’s defense forced 26 turnovers and 17 steals.  Sacred Heart shot 44.8% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.  Knott County Central shot 29.4% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and committed 26 turnovers.eight points, four rebounds,

 

Reagan Bender led  Sacred Heart with 21 points including six of eight free throws, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Josie Gilvin added 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and 10 steals.  Alexandria Wolff recorded eight points and four rebounds.  Triniti Ralston chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

 

Keara Mullins led Knott County Central with nine points including four of four free throws, and three rebounds.  Abby Maggard added seven points and two assists.  Brooke Mason recorded six points and one blocked shot.  Kylie Gayheart chipped in with five points, three rebounds, and five assists.

Bowling Green defeated Bishop Brossart 50-48 in two overtimes.  Bowling Green shot 35.4% from the field including one of three from the three point line.  The Purples connected on 15 of 29 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and committed 19 turnovers.  Bishop Brossart shot 30.6% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady ‘Stangs connected on 11 of 21 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and committed 23 turnovers.

 

Lynkaylah James led Bowling Green with 15 points, 19 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Meadow Tisdale added 14 points, four rebounds, two assists, four blocked shots, and two steals.  Tanaya Bailey recorded nine points, two rebounds, and three steals.  Emma Huskey chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.

 

Laureen Macht led Bishop Brossart with 16 points including four three point baskets.  Rosie Jump added 15 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and seven assists.  Marie Kiefer recorded seven points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and nine blocked shots.

28 turnovers and foul problems to Rachel Presley (fouled out with only 16 minutes played in the game) proved to be too much to overcome as South Laurel lost to Franklin County 55-50 in overtime.  Franklin County shot 32.7% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 17 of 35 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.  South Laurel shot 45.2% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and committed 28 turnovers.

 

Brooklynn Miles led Franklin County with 17 points including two three point baskets, five of seven free throws, two rebounds, five assists, and eight steals.  Patience Laster added 14 points and 14 rebounds.  Shauvi Kennedy recorded nine points, two rebounds, and two steals.

 

Reagan Jones led South Laurel with 14 points including two three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and two assists.  Brianna Howard added nine points on three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  Kylie Clem recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three assists.  6-0 So. Anderson County outscored Southwestern 23-10 in the second quarter on their way to a 78-67 victory over Southwestern.  Anderson County shot 46.8% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line.  The Lady Bearcats connected on 27 of 34 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and committed turnovers.  Southwestern shot 45.3% from the field including 12 of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Warriors connected on seven of 16 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.

 

Amiya Jenkins led Anderson County with 24 points including 12 of 15 free throws, 11 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Tiffani Riley added 16 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Sophie Smith recorded 15 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Rachel Satterly chipped in with 14 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, four rebounds, and two assists.

The score was tied 46-46 after three quarters but Bethlehem pulled away for a 70-65 victory over Bullitt East in a battle between two of the top ranked teams in the state.  Bethlehem shot 37.1% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line.  The Banshees connected on 16 of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  Bullitt East shot 41.3% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Chargers connected on nine of 11 free throws,pulled down 40 rebounds, and committed 11 turnovers.

 

Ella Freeman led Bethlehem with 25 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Carlie Thurmond added 18 points including two three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, two rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Emma Filiatreau recorded 11 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Amelia Hodges chipped in with nine points and five assists.  6-2 So. Anderson County vs. Sacred Heart Academy (Semifinal)

 

Anderson County coach Clay Birdwhistell started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Tiffani Riley, 5-11 Jr. Amiya Jenkins, 6-1 Jr. Jacie Chesser, 5-7 Sr.Rachel Satterly, and 5-8 Sr. Sophie Smith.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Jr. Josie Gilvin, 5-8 Fr. Reagan Bender, 6-0 Jr.Alexandra Wolff, 5-5 So. Triniti Ralston, and 5-6 Sr. Maggie Montano.

 

The score was tied 40-40 after three quarters but Sacred Heart Academy puled away in the final quarter for a 63-53 victory over Anderson County.  Sacred Heart Academy shot 36.7% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 22 of 29 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and committed 11 turnovers.  Anderson County shot 38.6% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bearcats connected on 14 of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers.

 

Josie Gilvin led Sacred Heart Academy with 19 points including 13 of 14 free throws, 11 rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  Triniti Ralston added 13 points including six of 11 free throws, four rebounds, and three assists.  Alexandra Wolff recorded 10 points and three rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Olivia Kaufman chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.  Reagan Bender recorded seven points, six rebounds, and three assists.

 

Amiya Jenkins led Anderson County with 24 points including 10 of 10 free throws, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Jacie Chesser added 12 points on four of four from the field and four of five from the free throw line.  Rachel Satterly recorded six points on two three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.  Sophie Smith chipped in with five points, four rebounds, and five assists.  Tiffani Riley added three points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.

Marshall County held Henderson County to nine points in the second half in a 50-33 victory.  Henderson County was three of 21 from the field in the second half.  Marshall County shot a sizzling 73.9% from the field including six of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Marshals connected on 10 of 11 free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.  Henderson County shot 31.9% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Colonels connected on one of two free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed 11 turnovers.

 

Cayson Conner led a balanced Marshall County scoring attack with 14 points including eight of eight free throws, five assists, and three steals.  Layne Pea added 13 points including three three point baskets.  Pea was four of four from the field including three of three from beyond the arc, and two of two free throws.  Halle Langhi recorded 12 points, five rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals.  Jada Driver chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and two assists.

 

Jarie Thomas led Henderson County with 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Sadie Wurth added seven points, three assists, and two steals.  5-2 So. Savannah Lacer recorded five points.

Sacred Heart captured the championship with a 49-47 thriller over Marshall County.  The score was tied 10 times and there were nine lead changes in the game.  Sacred Heart shot 38% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Marshall County turnovers.  Marshall County shot 47.4% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Marshals connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

Triniti Ralston led Sacred Heart Academy with 18 points including four three point baskets, four of five free throws, four rebounds, and four assists.  Alexandra Wolff added 10 points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Reagan Bender recorded eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Josie Gilvin chipped in with for points, eight rebounds, five assists, five blocked shots, and five steals. 

 

Halle Langhi led Marshall County with 19 points including four of six free throws, and seven rebounds.  Cayson Conner added 16 points including four of six free throws, four rebounds, and six assists.  6-0 Sr. Sophie Galloway recorded six points and 10 rebounds.
