Elizabethtown utilized their speed and quickness to force 20 Knott County Central turnovers which they converted into 34 points on their way to an 87-59 victory. Elizabethtown shot 53.8% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line. The Panthers connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and held a 26-2 advantage on fast break points. Knott County Central shot 53.1% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on one of two free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Elizabethtown turnovers.
Jaqualis Franklin led Elizabethtown with 25 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Kam Sherrard added 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Alandre Murphy added 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Khia Sherrard chipped in with 13 points and seven assists. Camden Williams tallied 11 points and six rebounds.
Josh McGuire led Knott County Central with 21 points, 10 rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. Colby Napier added 13 points including three three point baskets and two rebounds. Kent Damron recorded five points, two rebounds, and seven assists.

Bowling Green used their size and athleticism to dominate in the paint (44-28) in an 85-57 victory over University Heights. The score was tied three times and there were six lead changes early in the contest. Bowling Green shot 50% from the field including nine of 18 from the three point line. The Purples connected on 14 of 15 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 10 points off seven University Heights turnovers. University Heights shot 34.4% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc. The Blazers connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Bowling Green turnovers.
Tanner Buttry led Bowling Green with 20 points including three three point baskets, five of six free throws, three rebounds, and four assists. Buttry was six of eight from the field including three of four from beyond the arc, and five of six free throws. Isaiah Mason added 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Jacobi Huddleston recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Jaxson Banks chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and five rebounds. Ballard withstood a late rally by Madison Central and pulled away late for a 70-61 victory over Madison Central in one of the highly anticipated matchups of the opening round. Ballard shot 45.2% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Bruins connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 39.2% from the field including nine of 26 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Ballard turnovers.
Keno Hayden led Ballard with 26 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals. Gabe Sisk added 19 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds. Maker Bar recorded 11 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots, and two steals. DJ Tilford chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
Kole Browne led Madison Central with 21 points including two three point baskets, seven of 10 free throws, three rebounds, and three assists. Jaylen Davis added 16 points including three three point baskets, and seven rebounds. Oldham County trailed by 15 with 3:18 left in the third quarter and cut the deficit to four late in the game but George Rogers Clark held on for a 54-47 victory. Oldham County’s superiority on the boards (33-24) helped neutralize a poor shooting night but GRC’s defense forced some key turnovers in crucial situations to help the Cardinals gain control of the game. GRC shot 50% from the field including five pf 13 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Oldham County turnovers. Oldham County shot 36.7% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 GRC turnovers.
Jerone Morton led George Rogers Clark with 19 points including two three point baskets, three of four free throws, four assists, and two steals. Aden Slone added 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists. Jared Wellman recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots. Stanley Smothers added nine points and six rebounds.
Samuel Campbell led Oldham County with 16 points including three three point baskets, three of four free throws, and three assists. The Bluebirds connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off eight Muhlenberg County turnovers. Muhlenberg County shot 41.2% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc. The Mustangs connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Highlands turnovers.
Sam Vinson led Highlands with 31 points including six three point baskets, five of six free throws, four rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots, and two steals. Luke Muller added 21 points including three three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, eight rebounds, and two assists. Oliver Harris recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and three assists. The Mustangs also got a spark from 5-11 Jr. Max Blackwell who came off the bench to record 13 points including three three point baskets. McCracken County shot 53.1% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line. The Mustangs connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Bullitt East turnovers. Bullitt East shot 40.4% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Chargers connected on 12 of 13 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine McCracken County turnovers.
Ian Hart led McCracken County with 14 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots. Noah Dumas added 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Max Blackwell recorded 13 points and Ian McCune chipped in with 10 points, three blocked shots, and five steals. 6-4 So. Jack McCune added five points, four blocked shots, and two steals.

Boyle County shot 50% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line. The Rebels connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 16 Paintsville turnovers. Paintsville shot 45.2% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc. The Tigers connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Boyle County turnovers.

The Tomcats connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Knox Central turnovers. Knox Central shot 36.8% from the field including three of seven from beyond the arc. The Panthers connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Ashland turnovers.
Colin Porter led Ashland Blazer with 17 points including 11 of 13 free throws, four rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. Jaqualis Franklin led five Elizabethtown players in double figures with 19 points including eight of 10 free throws, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
