McDonald vs. Fort Loramie Division IV (Championship)

McDonald coach Tony Matisi started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Maddy Howard, 5-8 Sr. Sophia Constantino, 6-0 Sr. Molly Howard, 5-3 Sr. Taylor Tuchek, and 5-5 Jr. Lucia Wolford. Fort Loramie coach Carla Siegel countered with 6-0 Sr. Dana Rose, 6-0 Sr. Kenzie Hoelscher, 6-0 Sr. Jadyn Puthoff, 5-6 Sr. Caitlyn Gasson, and 5-7 Sr. Corynn Heitkamp.

Fort Loramie utilizing their stifling defense raced out to a 17-2 first quarter lead on their way to a 60-26 victory over McDonald. A touching moment took place after the game as four seniors that were denied their opportunity to play in the state tournament for Fort Loramie last year because of the COVID shut down were allowed to enter the court for pictures and a celebration with their teammates. Fort Loramie shot 56.4% from the field including four of six from the three point line. The Redskins connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and 25 points off 25 McDonald turnovers. McDonald shot 30.6% from the field including zero of seven from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored nine points off 16 Fort Loramie turnovers.

Dana Rose led Fort Loramie with 13 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Kenzie Hoelscher added 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Corynn Heitkamp recorded eight points including two three point baskets, three assists, and three steals.

Molly Howard led McDonald with 10 points and four rebounds. Taylor Tuchek added nine points, two rebounds, and two steals. Maddy Howard recorded five points and two rebounds.

Hiland vs. Ottawa-Glandorf Division III (Championship)

Hiland coach Dave Schlabach started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Kelsey Swihart, 5-9 Sr. Morgan Yoder, 6-1 Sr. Zoe Miller, 5-6 Sr. Kyli Horn, and 5-7 Sr. Brynn Mullet. Ottawa-Glandorf coach Troy Yant countered with 5-10 So. Chloe Glenn, 5-8 Sr. Kelsey Erford, 6-0 Jr. Erin Kaufman, 5-6 So. Lily Haselman, and 5-7 Fr. Myka Aldrich.

Hiland defeated Ottawa-Glandorf by the score of 45-25. Hiland shot 25.5% from the field including six of 22 from the three point line. The Hawks connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 28 Ottawa-Glendorf turnovers. Ottawa-Glandorf shot 30.3% from the field including zero of five from beyond the arc. The Titans connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored nine points off 16 Hiland turnovers.

Brynn Mullet led Hiland with 14 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, and three steals. Zoe Miller added 12 points including eight of nine free throws and 11 rebounds. Morgan Yoder recorded seven points including four of four free throws, four rebounds, and five steals.

Chloee Glenn led Ottawa-Glandorf with eight points and eight rebounds. Erin Kaufman added seven points and six rebounds.

Vinton County vs. Napoleon Division II (Championship)

Vinton County coach Rod Bentley started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Morgan Bentley, 5-8 Jr. Tegan Bartoe, 5-11 Jr. Cameron Zinn, 5-6 Sr. Myriah Davis, and 5-6 Jr. Lacie Williams. Napoleon coach Corey Kreinbrink countered with 5-10 Sr. Kalli Helberg, 5-9 Sr. Taylor Strock, 6-0 Sr. Caely Ressler, 5-6 So. Sophie Chipps, and 5-8 Jr. Emma Pedroza.

Napoleon defeated Vinton County by the score of 76-44. Napoleon shot 59.5% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line. The Wildcats connected on 27 of 37 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Vinton County turnovers. Vinton County shot 34% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Vikings connected on seven of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Napoleon turnovers.

Taylor Strock led Napoleon with 23 points including three three point baskets, eight of 10 free throws, and seven rebounds. Caely Ressler added 18 points including six of nine free throws, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Kalli Helberg recorded 16 points, two rebounds, and two steals. Sophie Chipps chipped in with seven points including four of four free throws, three rebounds, and six assists.

Morgan Bentley led Vinton County with 21 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Cameron Zinn added 13 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Mount Notre Dame vs. Newark Division I (Championship)

Mount Notre Dame coach Dr. Scott Rogers started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. KK Bransford, 6-0 Sr. Brianna Counts, 6-1 Sr. Abby Wolterman, 5-6 So. Taylor Stanley, and 5-10 Sr. Laila Phelia. Newark coach JR Shumate countered with 6-1 Sr. Emma Shumate, 6-0 Jr. Maddy Vejicky, 6-3 Sr. Abby Derwacter, 5-8 Sr. Mady Stottsberry, and 5-9 Jr. Gwen Stare.

KK Bransford scored all eight of Mount Notre Dame’s points in the second overtime to lead the Cougars to a 57-55 double overtime victory over Newark. This was Mount Notre Dame’s eight state title and their 72^nd consecutive victory. There were 12 ties and 10 lead changes in this game. Mount Notre Dame shot 35.5% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line. The Cougars connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Newark turnovers. Newark shot 35.2% from the field including nine of 23 from beyond the arc. The Wildcats connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored four points off 10 Mount Notre Dame turnovers.

KK Bransford led Mount Notre Dame with 21 points including seven of 10 free throws, eight rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals. Laila Phelia added 11 points and three rebounds. 5-9 Sr. Autumn Crockett recorded nine points and four rebounds and 5-11 Sr. Cassidy Stainton chipped in with nine points and three assists. Abby Wolterman and Taylor Stanley each pulled down eight rebounds.

Gwen Stare led Newark with 19 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and four assists. Maddy Vejicky added 18 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and two steals. Emma Shumate recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and 13 blocked shots.
