Summertown (29-4) vs. Loretto (21-7) Class A

 

Summertown coach Katie Embrey started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Rylee Long, 5-9 Sr. Hailey Jones, 6-1 Jr. Katie Burdette, 5-6 Sr. Jenna Brazier, and 5-6 Sr. Kaley Campbell.  Loretto coach Ashley Rutledge countered with 5-8 Jr. Autumn Buttrum, 5-7 Sr. Madelinn Tidwell, 6-0 Sr. Kensey Weathers, 5-11 Jr. Karly Weathers, and 5-7 Jr. Julie Clifton.

 

The turning point in the game came at the 5:57 mark in the final quarter when Summertown’s Katie Burdette fouled out allowing Loretto to pull away for a 49-41 victory.  There were six ties and seven lead changes in the game.  Loretto shot 37.8% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Mustangs connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Summertown turnovers.  Summertown shot 40% from the field including four of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Loretto turnovers.

 

Karly Weathers led Loretto with 18 points including six of eight free throws, five rebounds, and four steals.  Autumn Buttrum added nine points including four of six free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Madelinn Tidwell recorded nine points including four of four free throws and three rebounds.  Kensey Weathers chipped in with eight points, six rebounds, and two steals.

 

Katie Burdette led Summertown with 12 points and five rebounds.  Hailey Jones added 10 points including three of five free throws, and five rebounds.  Kaley Campbell recorded nine points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Rylee Long recorded three points, nine rebounds, and four assists.

Macon County (26-6) vs. Grainger (35-4) Class AA

 

Macon County coach Larry White started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Jalynn Gregory, 5-8 Sr. Saranda Woodson, 5-10 Sr. Taylor Ward, 5-2 Sr. Abby Shoulders, and 5-7 Sr. Emily Ashburn.  Grainger coach Rusty Bishop countered with 5-9 Sr. Matty Tanner, 5-8 Sr. Tori Rutherford, 5-10 Sr. Lauren Longmire, 5-6 Jr. Sydnie Hayes, and 5-7 Jr. Alia Maloney.

 

Macon County trailed 33-30 after three quarters but outscored Grainger 21-7 in the final quarter to earn a 51-40 victory and claim their first championship.  There were six ties and five lead changes in this game.  Macon County shot 44.8% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Tigerettes connected on 21 of 24 free throws including 15 of 18 in the final quarter, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Grainger turnovers.  Grainger shot 39% from the field including seven of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Grizzlies connected on one of two free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Macon County turnovers.

 

Jalynn Gregory led Macon County with 23 points including 12 of 13 free throws, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Abby Shoulders added 15 points including five of five free throws.  Taylor Ward recorded eight points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Saranda Woodson added three points, eight rebounds, and two steals. 

 

Tori Rutherford led Grainger with 11 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Matty Tanner added eight points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  Lauren Longmire recorded seven points and three assists.  Alia Maloney chipped in with six points and four rebounds.

Blackman (24-3) vs. Lebanon (30-5) Class AAA

 

Blackman coach Jennifer Grandstaff started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Emily Monson, 5-8 Jr. Gracie Hamby, 6-0 Sr. Kaylee Odom, 5-7 Sr. Iyana Moore, and 5-8 Sr. Victoria Page.  Lebanon coach Cory Barrett countered with 5-11 Sr. Avery Harris, 5-8 Jr. Terri Reynolds, 6-3 Jr. Meioshe Mason, 5-5 Sr. Addie Porter, and 5-7 Jr. Asia Barr.

 

Blackman defeated Lebanon by the score of 64-56.  The score was tied eight times and there were 13 lead changes in the game.  Blackman shot 44.4% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Blaze connected on 20 of 25 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Lebanon turnovers.  Lebanon shot 50% from the field including six of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Devilettes connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored four points off six Blackman turnovers.

 

Kaylee Odom led Blackman with 18 points, nine rebounds, and two assists.  Iyana Moore added 17 points including two three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, four rebounds, and four assists.  Victoria Page recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  5-6 Fr. Kaelyn Flowers chipped in with nine points including seven of nine free throws.  Gracie Hamby added eight points, eight rebounds, and two steals.

 

Addie Porter led Lebanon with 19 points including two three point baskets, seven of 10 free throws, four rebounds, and three assists.  Asia Barr added 12 points including two three point baskets and three assists.  Avery Harris recorded nine points and three rebounds.  Meioshe Mason chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.
