Mt. Washington February 20th - Sacred Heart shot a blistering 64.1% from the field in a 76-67 victory over Bullitt East. SHA shot 72.2% in the first half but trailed 38-36 at the intermission. SHA outscored Bullitt East 16-9 in the third quarter to take a 52-47 lead at the end of three quarters.
Sacred Heart shot 64.1% from the field including three of nine from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 23 of 28 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 34 points off 25 Bullitt East turnovers. Bullitt East shot 47.8% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Chargers connected on 20 of 34 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 28 Sacred Heart turnovers.
5-11 Jr. Jackie Hafele led SHA with 18 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and four steals. 5-6 Jr. Autumn Miller added 14 points and five assists. 5-11 So. Morgan Clemons chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds. 5-10 So. Monica McGreal also reached double figures with 10 points.
5-9 Jr. Kayla Thacker led Bullitt East with 26 points. 5-10 Jr. Shelby Romine added 12 points.
