42nd District Tournament Henry Clay High School (Boys and Girls)

Lexington KY February 24th

Henry Clay (9-19)  vs  Bryan Station (14-14)  (Girls)  -  Bryan Station defeated Henry Clay by a score of 60-57.  Bryan Station shot 40.4% from the field including zero of five from the three point line.  The Lady Defenders connected on 22 of 31 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 36% from the field including two of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 19 of 33 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 24 Bryan Station turnovers.

6-0 So. Amber Crumbie led Bryan Station with 15 points and nine rebounds.  5-7 Jr. Mikyla Mosby added 13 points including seven of 10 free throws.  5-10 Sr. Jeannay Washington chipped in with seven points and 11 rebounds.

5-8 So. Candace Morton led Henry Clay with 18 points.  5-11 Sr. Brittany Coles added 12 points and six rebounds.  5-10  Sr. Kristin Aweimrin chipped in with 10 points.

Bryan Station (19-7)  vs.  Henry Clay (16-13)  (Boys)  -  Henry Clay scored an 81-73 upset victory over Bryan Station.  Henry Clay shot 53.1% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 22 of 35 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 38.5% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Henry Clay turnovers.

6-0 Sr. Prince Stewart led the victors with 32 points including four three point baskets and pulled down 10 rebounds.6-3 Sr. TJ Barnes, 5-11 So. Brandon Wilder, and 5-10 Brandon Nichols added 12 points each.

6-2 Sr. Charles Ashford led Bryan Station with 19 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  6-0 Jr. Joe Fain added 16 points.  5-10 Sr. Montell Morones chipped in with 13 points.
