Richmond KY February 24th

Berea (15-9)  vs.  Madison Central (19-9) (Girls)  -  Madison Central scored 20 points off 22 Berea turnovers in a 67-38 victory.  Madison Central raced out to a 17-2 first quarter lead and led 35-10 at the intermission.

Madison Central shot 42.1% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 22 Berea turnovers.  Berea shot 23.1% from the field including one of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pirates connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off 17 Madison Central turnovers.

5-5 Jr. Christina Ciolek led a balanced Madison Central attack with 12 points and six rebounds.  5-9 So. Jenna Cornelison added 11 points and seven rebounds.  13 Madison Central players cracked the scoring column.

5-7 Sr. Brittany Harris led Berea with 12 points.  5-6 So. Rachel Wilder and 5-7 Sr. Haley Webb added eight points each.  5-11 Sr. Elizabeth Horn recorded six points and nine rebounds.

Berea  (6-18)  vs.  Madison Central  (16-11)  (Boys)  -  Madison Central scored 23 points off 25 Berea turnovers in a 72-45 victory.  Madison Central also held a 29-12 advantage in bench scoring.

Madison Central shot 34.7% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 14 of 25 free throws and pulled down 43 rebounds.  Berea shot 45.9% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Pirates connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored four points off eight Madison Central turnovers.

6-0 So. Brenton Covington led the victors with 14 points.  6-2 Sr. Vince Clay added 13 points including three three point baskets and pulled down eight rebounds.  6-1 Sr. Keshawn Simpson chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.  6-2 So. Nick Ford also reached double figures with 10 points.

6-4 Sr. Ryan Smith led Berea with 13 points and eight rebounds.  6-0 Jr. Jeremy Hamilton added 10 points and eight rebounds.
