Butler (19-6) vs. Iroquois (28-1) (Championship) - Iroquois scored 26 points off 29 Butler turnovers in a 51-41 victory. Iroquois shot 35.7% from the field including only one of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Raiders connected on 10 of 18 free throws and pulled down 28 rebounds. Butler shot 45.9% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc. The Bearettes connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Iroquois turnovers. Butler attempted 19 more shots from the field (56-37) than Iroquois and held an 18-2 advantage in bench scoring.
5-9 Sr. Adia Mathies led Iroquois with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals. 5-5 Sr. Kayla Hickman added 11 points. 5-6 Sr. Asia Mathies recorded 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
5-7 Jr. Whitney Reed led Butler with 10 points and nine rebounds. 5-11 Sr. Tiara Hopper added nine points and 10 rebounds. Daijia Ruffin chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.
