Bowling Green KY March 12th Day 2

Elizabethtown  (30-2)  vs.  Lexington Christian Academy  (29-4)  -  Elizabethtown took a 27-15 lead at halftime on their way to a 56-50 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  LCA rallied in the third quarter to cut the deficit to one;39-38 at the end of the third quarter but Elizabethtown regained control of the game in the final quarter.

Elizabethtown shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 17 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 30.6% from the field including six of 32 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 24 Elizabethtown turnovers.  LCA attempted 26 more shots from the field (62-36) than Elizabethtown.

6-0 Sr. Alex Jones led Elizabethtown with 19 points and 12 rebounds.  5-6 So. Natalie Greenwell added 19 points including four three point baskets.  Greenwell pulled down eight rebounds.  5-11 So. Adelaide Luckett recorded nine points and five rebounds.

6-2 Jr. Sarah Beth Barnett led LCA with 15 points, 11 rebounds, three blocked shots, and five steals.  5-10 Sr. Anna Martin added 14 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  5-11 Sr. Courtney Clifton chipped in with 11 points.

Boone County  (24-6)  vs  Rowan County  (26-3)  -  Boone County held a 24-8 advantage on points scored in the paint in a 39-26 victory over Rowan County.  Boone County shot 34.9% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Rebels connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Rowan County turnovers.  Rowan County shot only 16.7% from the field including only one of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Vikings connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored nine points off 19 Boone County turnovers.

5-8 Sr. Lauren Bowling led Boone County with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  5-9 Jr. Joscelyn Davis added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

5-5 Sr. Caitlyn Martin led Rowan County with 11 points and five rebounds.  5-7 Sr. Amber Riddle added eight points and seven rebounds.

Clay County  (25-9)  vs.  Ohio County  (25-5)  -  Ohio County trailed 46-43 at the end of three quarters but rallied to defeat Clay County by a score of 59-56.  Ohio County held a 21-3 advantage in three point points.

Ohio County shot 36.7% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 21 Clay County turnovers.  Clay County shot 51.1% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 15 Ohio County turnovers.

5-6 Sr. Mariah Robinson led Ohio County with 16 points and six rebounds.  5-5 Jr. Kaley Griffin and 5-6 8th grader Deanna Raley added 12 and 11 points respectively.  Griffin and Raley each recorded three three point baskets.

5-7 So. Kayla Smith led Clay County with 13 points.  5-10 Jr. Jordan Phillips added 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  6-1 So. Whitney Belle Jackson chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds.  5-9 Fr. Sabrina Smith also tallied 12 points.

Henderson County  (22-5)  vs.  Marshall County  (25-7)  -  Henderson County defeated Marshall County by a score of 53-43.  Henderson County shot 39.6% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Colonels connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Marshall County turnovers.  Marshall County shot 31.4% from the field including zero of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Marshals connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored four points off six Henderson County turnovers.

6-0 Sr. Danielle Dixon led Henderson County with 14 points and eight rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Olivia Fruit adde 14 points and seven rebounds.  6-1 Sr. Alyse Poindexter recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and seven blocked shots.
