Bowling Green KY March 13th Day 3

Montgomery County  (28-3)  vs.  Iroquois  (30-1)  (Quarterfinal)  -  Iroquois scored 20 points off 19 Montgomery County turnovers in a 46-37 victory.  Iroquois only committed one turnover in the game.  The score was tied 33-33 after three quarters but Iroquois pulled away in the final quarter for the win.

Iroquois shot 36.2% from the field including three of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and held a 22-4 advantage in bench scoring.  Montgomery County shot 40% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored two points off one Iroquois turnover.

5-9 Sr. Adia Mathies led Iroquois with 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists.  5-8 Sr. Meka Birdsong added 12 points.  5-2 Jr. Carmen Talbott chipped in with 10 points.

5-7 Sr. Mackenzie Lee led Montgomery County with 11 points  and six rebounds.  5-11 Sr. Kayla Webb added 11 points and four rebounds.

Casey County  (28-3)  vs.  Simon Kenton  (28-4)  (Quarterfinal)  -  Simon Kenton led 28-25 at halftime but Casey County rallied in the second half to defeat Simon Kenton 54-44.  Casey County held a 27-9 advantage in free throw points.

Casey County shot 31.5% from the field including three of nine from the free throw line.  The Lady Rebels connected on 27 of 39 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 27.8% from the field including five of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 15 Casey County turnovers.

5-7 Sr. Lauren Hatter led Casey County with 15 points.  5-11 Fr. Megan Pittman added 13 points and 12 rebounds.  5-9 So. Nicole Coffman recorded 13 points and six rebounds.

5-5 Sr. Chelsea Tolliver led Simon Kenton with 28 points.  5-2 So. Sydni Wainscott added nine points.  6-0 Sr. Kayla Smith pulled down 12 rebounds.

Boone County  (25-6)  vs.  Elizabethtown  (31-2)  (Quarterfinal)  -  Elizabethtown raced out to a 38-16 halftime lead in a 70-54 victory over Boone County.

Elizabethtown shot 53.3% from the field including three of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 19 of 27 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 22 Boone County turnovers.  Boone County shot 32.7% from the field including nine of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 18 Elizabethtown turnovers.

6-0 Sr. Alex Jones led Elizabethtown with 14 points and seven rebounds.  5-10 Sr. Terra Lucas also recorded 14 points on five of six shooting from the field and four of four from the free throw line.  5-9 Sr. Dorian Downs added 13 points including three three point baskets.  5-11 So. Adelaide Luckett chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.  5-11 Sr. Jasmine Deaderick came off the bench to tally nine points.

5-2 Jr. Heather Sandlin led Boone County with 13 points including two three point baskets.  5-6 Sr. Jacy Bradley added 11 points including three three point baskets and dished out seven assists.  5-7 So. Cortney Sellers added nine points on three three point baskets.

Elizabethtown  23  15  22  10  -  70

Boone County  (54)  -  Bowling 4, Sandlin 13, Davis 5, Sellers 9, Bradley 11, Browning 5, Shrout 3, Nash 2, Marschall 2.

Elizabethtown  (70)  -  Lucas 14, Luckett 10, Jones 14, Downs 13, Greenwell 6, Deaderick 9, Ditto 1, Nichols 2, Gilpin 1.

 

Henderson County  (23-5)  vs.  Ohio County  (26-5)  (Quarterfinal)  -  Henderson County defeated Ohio County by a score of 64-36.  Henderson County shot 54.3% from the field including four of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Colonels connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 23 Ohio County turnovers.  Ohio County shot 31% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 24 Henderson County turnovers.

5-9 Sr. Olivia Fruit led Henderson County with 18 points including four three point baskets and pulled down eight rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Ariel Barnes added 15 points and seven assists.  6-1 Sr. Alyse Poindexter recorded 13 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  5-4 Jr. Krista Norman also reached double figures with 11 points.

5-6 Sr. Mariah Robinson led Ohio County with 17 points and five steals.  5-4 Sr. Katie Henderson added six points.
