Lincoln County got a big road win with a 50-48 victory over Lexington Catholic. The third quarter proved to be the deciding factor as Lincoln County erased a 34-24 halftime deficit to take a 39-38 lead entering the final period.
Lincoln County shot 32.1% from the field including three of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Patriots connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 23 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 29.1% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 14 of 25 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 24 Lincoln County turnovers.
Jessica Upchurch led Lincoln County with 15 points and seven rebounds. Nikki Bustle added 10 points and Kendra Brown chipped in with eight points, eight rebounds, and six blocked shots. Shelby Smith also recorded eight points.
Anna Gayle Scott led Lexington Catholic with 13 points and six rebounds. Octavia Wilson added 12 points, eight rebounds, and six steals. Alex Botkin recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds.
