Tates Creek at Henry Clay (Boys)
Tates Creek utilized superiority on the boards to defeat Henry Clay by a score of 68-53. Tates Creek enjoyed a 44-15 advantage in rebounding and an overwhelming 21-1 advantage in second effort points.
Tates Creek shot 53.7% from the field including two of four from the three point line. The Commodores connected on 22 of 31 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 32% from the field including three of 19 from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 21 Tates Creek turnovers.
Ryan Fucci led Tates Creek with 23 points. Marcellus Barksdale added 16 points and nine rebounds. Ezra Garner recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Marquel Johnson and Brandon Wilder led Henry Clay with nine points each. Ryan Patton, Daniel Kiesling, and Wes Kimball added eight, seven, and seven points respectively. Kiesling also pulled down five rebounds.
