Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Phillip Barner, 6-1 Sr. Mike Baffour, 6-11 Sr. Andrew Adams, 6-0 Sr. Joe Fain, and 5-10 So. Darius Waide. Tates Creek coach Wayne Breeden countered with 6-3 Jr. Marcellus Barksdale, 6-2 Sr. Justin Daughtery, 6-4 Sr. Ezra Garner, 5-11 So. Darius Gibson, and 6-2 Jr. Ryan Fucci.
Tates Creek outscored Bryan Station 27-15 in the fourth quarter and pulled away in the last two minutes to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 72-64. The victorious Commodores outscored Bryan Station 10-2 in the last two minutes.
Tates Creek shot 47.3% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line. The Commodores connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 48.1% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Tates Creek turnovers.
6-5 Sr. Miles Potter and Marcellus Barksdale led Tates Creek with 15 points each. Justin Daughtery and Ryan Fucci added 14 and 13 points respectively.
Phillip Barner led Bryan Station with 19 points. Joe Fain and 6-6 Jr. James Evans added 13 and 10 points respectively. Andrew Adams recorded eight points, four rebounds, and four blocked shots.
