Central Bank Basketball Classic Day No. 1 January 8, 2010 @Lexington Christian Academy

Quality Education Academy  vs.  Mountain State Academy

Quality Education Academy started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Dominic Pointer, 6-10 Jr. Quincy Miller, 6-10 Sr. Juvonte Reddic, 6-0 Jr. Anthony Fields, and 6-4 Jr. Charles McKinney.  Mountain State Academy countered with 6-7 So. Anthony Bennett, 6-6 Sr. Justin Martin, 7-1 Sr. David Nyarsuk, 6-4 Jr. Ronald Ross, and 6-2 Sr. Jabs Newby.

Mountain State Academy outscored Quality Education Academy 18-9 in the final quarter to earn a 58-57 victory.  Quality Education held a 25-13 lead in the second quarter.  Mountain State held a 23-10 advantage in second chance points.

Mountain State shot 33.8% from the field including six of 23 from the three point line.  The Falcons connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Quality Education Academy turnovers.  Quality Education Academy shot 47.9% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Pharoahs connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Mountain State Academy turnovers.

Anthony Bennett led Mountain State Academy with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Ronald Ross added 12 points.  David Nyarsuk recorded 10 points and 13 rebounds. 

Juvonte Reddic and Quincy Miller led Quality Education Academy with 17 points each.  Miller recorded three three point baskets.
