Louisville Collegiate coach Tim Williams started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Max Burge, 6-0 Jr. Chris Townsend, 6-1 Jr. Harris Levine, 5-11 Sr. Layth Masri, and 5-10 Fr. Andrew Steggeman. Sayre coach Ted Hall countered with 6-6 Fr. Ray Brewer, 6-2 Jr. Griffin Patterson, 6-8 8th grader Dakari Jihnson, 5-8 Jr. Griffin Miller, and 5-8 Fr. Mike Smith.
Louisville Collegiate led 44-33 at the end of three quarters but had to survive a furious late rally by Sayre to earn a 57-54 victory. Collegiate shot 32.3% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Titans connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 15 Sayre turnovers. Sayre shot 42.9% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Spartans connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Collegiate turnovers.
Harris Levine led Louisville Collegiate with 20 points including two three point baskets and pulled down eight rebounds. Layth Masri added 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Andrew Steggman also reached double figures with 10 points. Chris Townsend chipped in with six points and seven rebounds.
Mike Smith led Sayre with 17 points. Dakari Johnson added 16 points, 10 rebounds, and seven blocked shots.
