Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Chad Jackson, 6-3 Sr. Austin Flannery, 6-8 Sr. Dakotah Euton, 6-2 Sr. Ge-Lawn Guyn, and 6-3 So. Tamron Manning. Sayre coach Ted Hall countered with 6-6 Fr. Ray Brewer, 6-0 So. Reid Freeman, 6-8 8th grader Dakari Johnson, 5-11 Jr. Griffin Miller, and 5-8 Fr. Mike Smith.
Scott County raced out to a 24-8 lead on their way to an 85-47 victory over Sayre. Fifteen players logged minutes for Scott County with eleven cracking the scoring column.
Scott County shot 52% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 15 Sayre turnovers. Scott County held a 37-4 advantage in bench scoring. Sayre shot 27.9% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Spartans connected on 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Sayre turnovers.
Dakotah Euton led Scott County with 18 points including four three point baskets, and pulled down 11 rebounds. Ge-Lawn Guyn added 14 points and five rebounds. Chad Jackson chipped in with 10 points, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots. 6-2 So. Isaiah Ivey also reached double figures with 10 points.
Mike Smith led Sayre with 21 points and six rebounds. Reid Freeman added nine points including two three point baskets. Dakari Johnson recorded seven points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots.
