Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Joey Wallace, 6-1 Jr. Aaron Ponder, 6-3 Sr. Jimmy Freel, 5-8 Jr. AJ Jeck, and 5-9 Sr. Carrington Roberts.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-4 sr. Chad Jackson, 6-3 Sr. Austin Flannery, 6-8 Sr. Dakotah Euton, 6-2 Sr. Ge-Lawn Guyn, and 6-3 So. Tamron Manning.

Scott County led 46-26 in the third quarter but Madison Southern rallied to cut the deficit to six; 50-44 entering the final quarter.  Scott County pulled away late in the game to earn a 79-69 victory.

Scott County shot 51.8% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 14 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 50.9% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Scott County turnovers.

Austin Flannery led a balanced Scott County attack with 17 points including two three point baskets and dished out five assists.  Ge-Lawn Guyn added 16 points including two three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.  Dakotah Euton chipped in with 15 points including three three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds.  Chad Jackson recorded 10 points and five rebounds.

Carrington Roberts led Madison Southern with 22 points including two three point baskets.  Joey Wallace also tallied 22 points and pulled down five rebounds.  Aaron Ponder chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.
