Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Taylor Martin, 6-3 Jr. Scott Schuette, 6-8 Sr. Tanner Peurach, 6-0 Jr. Seth Beckham, and 6-0So. Jaylen Beckham.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-4 Sr. Chad Jackson, 6-3 Sr. Austin Flannery, 6-8 Sr. Dakotah Euton, 6-2 Sr. Ge-Lawn Guyn, and 6-3 So. Tamron Manning.

Lexington Catholic rallied from a 40-26 deficit early in the third quarter to earn a 74-71 victory over Scott County.  This was a typical epic battle between these two state basketball powerhouses.  Lexington Catholic outscored Scott County 29-20 in the final quarter to complete the comeback.

Lexington Catholic shot 43.3% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 19 of 32 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 22 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 48.3% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Jaylen Beckham led Lexington Catholic with 21 points, nine rebounds, and five steals.  Seth Beckham added 18 points and seven rebounds.  Taylor Martin chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.  Scott Schuette also reached double figures with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Tanner Peurach recorded eight points and six rebounds.

Dakotah Euton led Scott County with 22 points including three point baskets and pulled down 16 rebounds.  Chad Jackson added 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Ge-Lawn Guyn chipped in with 16 points.  Tamron Manning also reached double figures with 10 points.  Chad Jackson and Austin Flannery both fouled out tonight.
