Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Kaylyn Cecil, 5-6 So. Tara Gilpin, 6-0 Jr. Adelaide Luckett, 5-6 Jr. Hannah Hart, and 5-6 Jr. Natalie Greenwell. Lexington Catholic coach Tony Talbott countered with 5-9 Sr. Lexi Mullikin, 5-9 Sr. Cassie Williams, 5-11 Sr. Madison Smith, 5-5 Sr. Meghan Cawood, and 5-6 Sr. Anna Gayle Scott.
Lexington Catholic trailed 36-32 entering the final quarter but rallied to defeat Elizabethtown 50-43. The victors held a 15-4 advantage in second chance points and a 24-5 advantage in bench scoring.
Lexington Catholic shot 27.8% from the field including one of eight from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 26 Elizabethtown turnovers. Lexington Catholic attempted 20 more shots from the field (54-34) than Elizabethtown. Elizabethtown shot 35.3% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Lexi Mullikin led Lexington Catholic with 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals. 5-11 So. Alex Botkin added nine points.5-9 So. Jill Maronde pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
Kaylyn Cecil led Elizabethtown with 13 points including three three point baskets. Natalie Greenwell added nine points. Adelaide Luckett recorded seven points and eight rebounds.
