Bourbon county coach Tony Sosby started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Shawna Sexton, 5-9 Jr. Alyssa Craft, 5-9 Sr. Elizabeth Stamper, 5-5 Sr. Ashley Stanfield, and 5-7 Fr. Kylie Highlander. Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 5-8 Sr. Lisa Hack, 5-4 Sr. Jameka Gillespie, 6-0 Sr. Morgan Walker, 5-3 Jr. Jariana Gillespie, and 5-7 Sr. Ali Ross.
Lafayette defeated Bourbon County by a score of 69-38 in an emotionally charged senior night as the Lafayette fans watched the four seniors Lisa Hack, Jameka Gillespie, Morgan Walker, and Ali Ross combine for 41 points in an easy victory. The Lafayette coaching staff, in a very classy move, presented the Bourbon County seniors with a gift and flowers. Once the game and festivities were over the Lady Generals were deadly serious as they raced out to a 24-8 first quarter lead on their way to a victory.
Lafayette shot 52% from the field including eight of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 Bourbon County turnovers. Bourbon County shot 32.6% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Colonels connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 Lafayette turnovers.
Ali Ross led Lafayette with 18 points including two three point baskets. Lisa Hack added 13 points including three three point baskets and dished out five assists. Jariana Gillespie recorded 12 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
Shawna Sexton led Bourbon County with 11 points and five rebounds. Alyssa Craft added nine points and 12 rebounds.
