Paul Dunbar (20-6) vs. Tates Creek (15-11) (Girls)
5-8 Sr. Lizza Jonas hit a field goal to give Tates Creek a 54-52 lead and an insurance free throw to give her team a 55-52 upset victory over Paul Dunbar. It was truly the agony and the ectasy of sports as one of the leading candidates for Miss Basketball Ebony Rowe ended her career as a Lady Bulldog. Tates Creek, on the other hand claimed a big victory and insure themselves of a regional tournament berth, a feat of no small significance as they lost their top inside threat 6-1 So. Peyton Hisel earlier in the season with an ACL injury.
Tates Creek shot 45.7% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 35.1% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Tates Creek turnovers.
5-4 Fr. Oney Harrison led Tates Creek with 21 points including two three point baskets. 5-8 Sr. Lizza Jonas added 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. 5-1 Fr. Lexi Whaley chipped in with nine points.
6-0 Sr. Ebony Rowe led Dunbar with 19 points and 14 rebounds. 5-4 Sr. Kristi McIntosh added 11 points including three three point baskets.

Tates Creek (18-6) vs. Paul Dunbar (3-21) (Boys)
Tates Creek defeated Paul Dunbar by a score of 86-53. Tates Creek shot 59.3 % from the field including five of seven from the three point line. The Commodores connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 18 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 37.5% from the field goal including three of 13 from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored two points off eight Tates Creek turnovers.
6-2 Jr. Ryan Fucci led Tates Creek with 26 points including three three point baskets. Fucci was 10 of 14 from the field including three of three from the three point line and three of four from the free throw line. 6-3 Jr. Marcellus Barksdale added 19 points. 6-4 Sr. Ezra Garner recorded seven points and seven rebounds.
5-11 Fr. William Gary led Dunbar with 17 points. 6-3 Jr. Lamont Johnson and 5-11 Fr. Terrell Farrell added 10 and nine points respectively.
