Manual coach Stacy Pendleton started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Mechael Guess, 6-1 Fr. Kayla Styles, 6-2 Sr. Zakiyah Martin, 5-10 So. Kara Wright, and 5-7 So. April Wilson.  Mercy coach Mark Evans countered with 5-8 Sr. Malisa Cruz, 5-8 Jr. Emily Goetz, 5-9 Sr. Therese Montano, 5-8 Sr. Ellen Sholtes, and 5-8 Jr. Juliann Miller.

Manual held a combined score advantage of 34-16 in the second and third quarters in a 67-55 victory over Mercy to claim the 25^th District Championship.  Manual held a 21-4 advantage in free throw points to negate Mercy’s 21-6 advantage in three point points.  Manual also held a 14-0 advantage in bench scoring.

Manual shot 44.9% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Crimsons connected on 21 of 25 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 19 Mercy turnovers.  Mercy shot 37.3% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Manual turnovers.

April Wilson led Manual with 17 points and six rebounds.  Mechael Guess, Kayla Styles, and 5-8 So. Lauren Bodine each recorded 10 points.  Kara Wright chipped in with nine points.

Malisa Cruz led Mercy with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Juliann Miller added 14 points and six rebounds.  Ellen Sholtes chipped in with 12 points including three three point baskets and dished out five assists.
