LTMS coaches Nimbo Hammonds, Tyrone Johnson, and Reid Brown started the following lineup: Tykie Tyler, Teddy Ware, Jordan Green, Donnie Lewis, and Charles “Snoop” Johnson. Beaumont coaches Browning, Payne, and Rose countered with Vince Davis, Jordan Hurst, Shon Wright, Isaiah Olige, and Conner McHugh..
LTMS pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Beaumont 50-34 to claim the championship. LTMS shot 44.2% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line. The Blackcats connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 22 Beaumont turnovers. Beaumont shot 36.4% from the field including three of six from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 LTMS turnovers.
Charles “Snoop” Johnson led the victors with 23 points and six rebounds. Johnson was 10 of 15 from the field including one of three from the three point line and two of five from the free throw line. Johnson was virtually impossible to defend with his slashing moves to the basket. Teddy Ware added 10 points including two three point baskets. Jordan Green pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Shon wright led Beaumont with nine points. Conner McHugh added eight points including two three point baskets.Vince Davis chipped in with six points and seven rebounds.
