Boys 15U, 16U, and 17U All Star Divisions

Kentucky Basketball Academy and Lafayette High School

Sunday May 23rd

Boys 15U

BA Hoyas 64  KY Legends 52 (Quarterfinal) – Rusty Troutman, Jack Sherry, and Chris Dunbar led BA Hoyas with 20, 10, and 10 points respectively.  Dasean Peterson and Burt Pouncy led KY Legends with 22 and nine points respectively.

Hoops Elite 73  N. KY Tarheels 60 (Quarterfinal) – Dontez Byrd, Anthony Edwards, and Montrell Morris led Hoops Elite with 13, 12, and 11 points respectively.  Byrd recorded four thee point baskets.  Brandon Hatton and Zach McNeil led the Tarheels with 28 and 10 points respectively.

Hoop Dreams 73  Georgetown Sting 53 (Quarterfinal) – Larry Morton and Mike Smith led the victors with 14 and 13 points respectively.  Jack Whitman and Dillon Avare added nine points each.  Trent Gilbert and Andrew Short led Georgetown Sting with 17 and eight points respectively.

Royal Family 75  W. KY Hoopstars 57 (Quarterfinal) – Quentin Snider and Devaunte Yelder led Royal Family with 11 points each.  Eli Flener and Jamonte Davis led Hoopstars with  nine and eight points respectively.

BA Hoyas 52  Hoops Elite 51 OT (Semifinal) – Rusty Troutman and Chase Darst led BA Hoyas with 22 and 11 points respectively.  Marcus Cosby and Cameron Lewis led Hoops Elite with 11 points each.

Hoop Dreams 70  Royal Family 65 (Semifinal) – Jack Whitman, Mike Smith, Larry Morton, Eric Trigg, and Christian Cunningham led Hoop Dreams with 18, 16, 13, 11, and 11 points respectively.  Jason Hatcher, Quentin Snider, Tae’Shawn Gibbs, and DeAngelo Russell led Royal Family with 16, 15, 12, and 12 points respectively.

Hoop Dreams 50  BA Hoyas 40 (Championship) 40 – Larry Morton and Mike Smith led Hoop Dreams with 17 and 11 points respectively.  Jack Sherry and Chris Dunbar led BA Hoyas with 17 and 11 points respectively.

Boys 16U

The Ville 82  Hoptown Hoyas 51 (Quarterfinal) – Darryl Hicks, Daniel Ross, Tyrel Corlew, David Levitch, Omar Prewitt, and James Quick led The Ville with 11, 11, nine, nine, nine, and nine points respectively.  Darius White and Nick Riley led Hoptown Hoyas with 10 and eight points respectively.

Charlotte Court 59  Real Deal 46 (Quarterfinal) – Adam Wing, Darius Gibson, and Darius Waide led Charlotte Court with 23, 15, and 10 points respectively.  Daylin Garland and Jon Schoonover led Real Deal with 12 points each.

Derek Smith All Stars 75  Shining Star Sports 49 (Quarterfinal) – Andrew Perito, Jalen Wesson, Troy Saxton, and Zach Davis led the victors with 14, 13, 12, and 12 points respectively.  Codey Chambers, Zeke Pike, and Cooper Downs led Shining Star Sports with 12, eight, and eight points respectively.

Next Level Sports 86  Hoop Dreams 75 OT (Quarterfinal) – Mekale McKay, Joe Drake, Daquan Boyd, and William Bryant led Next Level with 23, 16, 14, and 11 points respectively.  Drake recorded four three point baskets.  Jaylen Beckham, Isiah Ivey, Mike Terry, Taylor Barnette, and Corey Gregg led Hoop Dreams with 23, 18, 10, 10, and 10 points respectively.

The Ville 57  Charlotte Court 56 (Semifinal) – James Quick hit a field goal in the closing seconds to give The Ville the victory.  Paul Jones hit a shot from beyond mid-court for Charlotte Court but it was determined by the officials to have been after the buzzer.  Desmond Dorsey and James Quick led The Ville with 20 and 10 points respectively.  Jay Johnson and Darius Waide led Charlotte Court with 21 and 13 points respectively.

Next Level Sports 59  Derek Smith All Stars 56 (Semifinal) – Daquan Boyd hit a contested three point shot at the buzzer to give Next Level the victory.  Mekale McKay and Daquan Boyd led Next Level with 21 and 11 points respectively.  Natahn Dieudonne and Charles Foster led Derek Smith All Stars with 19 and 12 points respectively.

Next Level Sports 58  The Ville 50 (Championship) – William Bryant and Mekale McKay led Next Level with 16 and 10 points respectively.  Darryl Hicks, James Quick, and Omar Prewitt led The Ville with 11, nine, and nine points respectively.

Boys 17U

Derek Smith All Stars 73  BA Hoyas 71 (Quarterfinal) – Deondre McWhorter hit a jump shot in the lane at the buzzer to give Derk Smith All Stars the victory.  Tanner Shotwell led the victors with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Paul Williamson, Deondre McWhorter, and Alex Webb added 13, 12, and 10 points respectively.  Kameron Woods, Byron Sanford, and Arman Marks led BA Hoyas with 22, 15, and 10 points respectively.

Charlotte Court 79  Royal Family 64 (Quarterfinal) – Daniel  Kiesling, Martez Harris, Walter Alexander, Seth Beckham, and Hunter Porter led Charlotte Court with 14, 14, 13, 12, and 11 points respectively.  Jermaine Jackson and Jakki Hobbs led Royal Family with 24 and 10 points respectively.

Shining Star Sports (D) 69  Louisville Bengals 44 (Quarterfinal) – Lyonell Gaines and Remy Abell led the victors with 17 and 10 points respectively.  Dan Ratterman and Mike Ising led Louisville Bengals with 11 points each.

Shining Star Sports (P) 65 N. KY Bulldogs 55 (Quarterfinal) – Jake Thelen and Kevin Shaw led the victors with 17 and 12 points respectively.  Bobby Stauffer and Robbie Barber led N. KY Bulldogs with 12 and nine points respectively.

Charlotte Court 61  Derek Smith All Stars 59 (Semifinal) – Martez Harris, Seth Beckham, and Marcellus Barksdale led Charlotte Court with 13, 12, and 12 points respectively.  Tanner Shotwell led Derek Smith All Stars with 20 points including six three point baskets.  Deondre McWhorter added 16 points.

Shining Star Sports (D) 77  Shining Star Sports (P) 63 (Semifinal) – Timmy Knipp led the victors with 25 points including four three point baskets.  Lyonell Gaines, Remy Abell, and Robbie Stenzel added 13, 11, and 10 points respectively.  Jake Giesler and Kevin Shaw led Shining Star Sports (P) with 17 and 16 points respectively.

Shining Star Sports (D) 80  Charlotte Court 73 (Championship)  - Remy Abell led the victors with 28 points.  Tony Kimbro, Robbie Stenzel, and Timmy Knipp added 20, 11, and 10 points respectively.  Walter Alexander, Marcellus Barksdale, Seth Beckham, and Daniel Kiesling led Charlotte Court wit 15, 15, 13, and 10 points respectively.
