Boone County defeated Scott County by a score of 17-6 tonight.  Boone County was three for three in red-zone scoring opportunities while Scott County was zero for three.

Boone County recorded 14 first downs and 267 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized 10 times for 93 yards and lost a fumble.  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 207 yards of total offense, but only 11 yards through the air.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 82 yards and lost two fumbles.

Drew Stuck led Boone County’s ground game with 119 yards and a TD on 15 carries.  Jordan Oppenheimer carried the ball 17 times for 49 yards.  Bryson Thompson completed five of 10 passes for 102 yards.  Drew Stuck caught two passes for 65 yards.  Trevan Brown added two receptions for 38 yards.  Mikel Reynolds led the defense with four solo and nine assisted tackles.  Cody Rodriguez added three solo and five assisted tackles.

Kevo Edwards led Scott County’s ground attack with 91 yards and a TD on six carries.  Ben Lawler added 43 yards on 10 carries.  Ben Lawler completed two of four passes for 11 yards.  Josh Walls caught one pass for 12 yards.  Jordan Kindred led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles.  JT True added three solo and five assisted tackles.
