Ballard coach Steve Kaufman started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Javonna Layfield, 6-3 Sr. Ciera Woods, 6-2 Sr. Jaylan Bodiford, 5-7 Sr. Anjelica Newby, and 5-7 Jr. Daryius Franklin.  Assumption coach Ron Ferch countered with 5-9 Sr. Maggie Hartlage, 5-10 Jr. Morgan Foley, 5-9 So. Katie Freidrich, 5-6 Jr. Becca Durbin, and 5-7 So. Dee Dee Sliter.

Ballard captured a hard fought 49-46 decision over Assumption.  Ballard shot 37% from the field including one of 10 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 21 Assumption turnovers.  Assumption shot 24.4% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc.  The Rockets connected on 22 of 31 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 29 Ballard turnovers.

Javonna Layfield led Ballard with 11 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.  Jaylan Bodiford added nine points and six rebounds.  5-9 Fr. Kiana Richardson chipped in with nine points.

Dee Dee Sliter, Maggie Hartlage, Morgan Foley, and Katie Freidrich each scored nine points for Assumption.
