North Laurel (4-4)  vs.  Madison Central (4-3)

Hooping it up Holiday Classic

North Laurel coach Jim Conway started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Cody Likins, 6-1 Jr. Ryan Shears, 6-4 Sr. Lee Spencer, 5-9 So. Marcus Carson, and 6-1 Jr. Ethan Eversole.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-2 Sr. Nick Ford, 6-1 Jr. John O’Bryan, 6-6 Jr. Hunter Allen, 6-0 Sr. Brenton Covington, and 6-0 So.  Dominique Hawkins.

Madison Central led 29-26 and pulled away in the second half to defeat North Laurel 63-42.  Madison Central got 36 points off the bench with 14 players logging minutes with 12 entering the scoring column.  Madison Central shot 47.1% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 10 of 18 free throws. Pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 North Laurel turnovers.  North Laurel shot 30% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.

6-4 So. hunter Stocker led a balanced Madison Central attack with 10 points.  6-0 So. Ken-Jah Bosley added nine points.  Dominique Hawkins and Nick Ford chipped in with seven points each.

Marcus Carson led North Laurel with 10 points.  5-11 So. Kendrick Henson added nine points.

 

North Laurel         26  16  -  42

Madison Central   29  34  -  63

 

North Laurel (42) – Likins 3, Shears 3, Spencer 5, Carson 10, Eversole 5, Henson 9, Allen 6, Bowling 1.

Madison Central (63) – Ford 7, O’Bryan 4, Allen 5, Covington 4, Hawkins 7, Pyatt 2, Bosley 9, Walker 4, Congleton 1, Stocker 10, Parke 5, Abshear 5.
