St. Henry coach Brian Coburn started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Abby Janszen, 5-9 Sr. Taylor Gamm, 5-10 Jr. Jessica Knaley, 5-5 Sr. Shannon O’Daniel, and 5-3 Jr. Annie Fugate. Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Jr. Alex Botkin, 5-10 Jr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Jr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-7 Jr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-9 So. Octavia Wilson.
St. Henry defeated Lexington Catholic 39-37 in a game in which neither team could find the range from the field. Both teams shot below 30% from the field and the second quarter proved to be disasterous for Lexington Catholic as they were outscored 15-4.
St. Henry shot 26.5% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Crusaders connected on 10 of 25 from the free throw line, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored nine points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 28.3% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 St. Henry turnovers.
Abby Janszen led St. Henry with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocked shots. Annie Fugate added eight rebounds. Jessica Knaley and Tatlor Gamm each recorded seven points and eight rebounds.
Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 16 points. Alex Botkin added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Emily Johns chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds.
