Ballard coach Chris Renner started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. DeVante Parker, 6-1 Sr. Danny Yackey, 6-5 Fr. Kelan Martin, 5-11 So. Lavonne Holland, and 5-11 Fr. Quentin Snider. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Taylor Martin, 6-4 Sr. Scott Schuette, 6-5 Jr. Craig Floyd, 5-10 Jr. Bryan Woomer, and 6-0 Sr. Seth Beckham.
Ballard defeated Lexington Catholic 89-76 in a thriller for the championship. Ballard led 76-74 late in the game but finished the game with a 13-2 run. Lexington Catholic was unable to grab key rebounds late in the game and Ballard hit their free throws doen the stretch to seal the victory.
Ballard shot 41.5% from the field including 12 of 28 from the three point line. The Bruins connected on 23 of 27 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 22 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 48.5% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored six points off 16 Ballard turnovers.
Quentin Snider led Ballard with 18 points including five three point baskets. Kelan Martin added 15 points and eight rebounds. Lavonne Holland also tallied 15 points. DeVante Parker chipped in with 14 points and seven rebounds. Danny Yackey also scored 14 points including four three point baskets.
Taylor Martin led Lexington Catholic with 27 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Martin was 13 of 15 from the field and one of three from the free throw line. Scott Schuette added 23 points including six three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds. Seth Beckham chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds. 6-8 So. Jack Whitman recorded four points and nine rebounds.
