Mercer County coach Brian Britt started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Mathew Honchel, 6-3 Sr. Aaron Lee, 6-4 Sr. Mathew Banks, 5-10 Sr. Trey Compton, and 6-3 Sr. Clay Cinnamon. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-4 Sr. Dylan Pohl, 6-1 Sr. Austin Dunn, 6-2 Sr. Brandon Hager, 5-8 Sr. David Martin, and 5-11 Fr. Will Henderson.
Mercer County raced out to a 26-10 first quarter lead on their way to a 73-58 victory over West Jessamine. Mercer County shot 47.1% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Titans connected on 20 of 28 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 23 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 42.9% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 Mercer County turnovers.
Clay Cinnamon led Mercer county with 30 points including three three point baskets, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out four assists. Cinnamon was 11 of 15 from the field including three of three from beyond the arc and five of eight from the free throw line. Aaron lee added 18 points and five rebounds. Mathew Honchel recorded 13 points and five rebounds.
6-3 S0. Chase Fain led West Jessamine with 13 points and six rebounds. Brandon Hager added 12 points on six of seven field goal attempts. Dylan Pohl recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds and 5-9 Sr. Cameron Watts also scored 10 points.
