Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Nick Ford, 6-3 Sr. Brenton Covington, 6-6 Jr. Hunter Allen, 6-0 Jr. John O’Bryan, and 6-0 So. Dominique Hawkins. Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-3 So. Larry Morton, 6-3 Jr. Marcus Williams, 6-2 Sr. Jaron Mock, 5-10 Sr. Tim Brown, and 6-2 Sr. Deon Renfro.
Brenton Covington connected on a three point basket in the final minute of the game to give Madison Central a 65-62 victory over Bryan Station. Bryan Station led 23-14 early in the second quarter but Madison Central rallied and the game was close the rest of the way. The score was tied 13 times and there were 13 lead changes.
Madison Central shot 50% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 21 of 32 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 13 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 41.2% from the field including five of 23 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.
Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 21 points including 12 of 15 free throws.. Brenton Covington added 12 points.
Larry Morton led Bryan Station with 22 points and six rebounds. 6-2 Sr. Otis Webb added 15 points including three three point baskets. 5-9 Jr. Darius Waide chipped in with 11 points.
