Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Annamarie Campbell, 5-11 Sr. Monica McGreal, 5-10 Sr. Morgan Clemons, 5-6 Sr. Hannah Washle, and 5-4 Sr. Maddie Peabody.  Butler coach Larry Just countered with 5-9 Sr. Megan Cureton, 5-9 So. Aareon Smith, 5-9 Fr. Danielle Lawrence, 5-7 Jr. MacKenzie Martinez, and 5-6 Sr. Heather Wheat.

Butler captured a 55-52 decision over Sacred Heart Academy tonight.  This was a game of surges as Sacred Heart led 27-26 at halftime.  Butler went on a 17-4 run in the third quarter to take a 43-31 lead after three quarters.  Sacred Heart made it close in the final quarter as they outscored Butler 21-12 in the final period.  There were 10 lead changes and seven ties in the game.

Butler shot 37% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Bearettes connected on 19 of 32 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 19 SHA turnovers.  SHA shot 37.3% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on 13 of 27 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 21 Butler turnovers.

Megan Cureton led Butler with 16 points.  MacKenzie Martinez added 11 points and six rebounds.  Danielle Lawrence chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.  Heather Wheat recorded seven points, seven rebounds, four assists, and seven steals.

Maddie Peabody led SHA with 12 points.  Morgan Clemons added 11 points and 13 rebounds.  Annamarie Campbell chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds.  Monica McGreal recorded eight points and six rebounds.
