Tates Creek coach Justin Cheatham started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Katie Pippen, 5-8 So. Dominique Etling-Turner, 6-1 Jr. Peyton Hisel, 5-3 Jr. Michaela Drake, and 5-6 So. Oney Harrison.  Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Jr. Alex Botkin, 5-10 Jr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Jr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-7 Jr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-8 So. Octavia Wilson.

Lexington Catholic outscored Tates Creek 13-3 in the third quarter on their way to a 55-44 victory.  Neither team could find the range from the field and both teams had key players in foul problems.  Tates Creek’s Peyton Hisel was limited to 3:49 minutes in the first half because of two early fouls.  Lexington Catholic’s Octavia Wilson was limited to 8:56 minutes in the first half because of three fouls by halftime.

Lexington Catholic shot 35.9% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 20 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 29.4% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Alex Botkin led Lexington Catholic with 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Octavia Wilson added 14 points and five assists.  Emily Johns chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Elizabeth Walton recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.

Oney Harrison led Tates creek  with 16 points and eight rebounds.  Dominique Etling-Turner added eight points and seven rebounds.  Michaela Drake also scored eight points.  Peyton Hisel recorded seven points, eight rebounds, and four steals.
