Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Brenton Covington, 6-2 Sr. Nick Ford, 6-6 Jr. Hunter Allen, 6-1 Jr. John O’Bryan, and 6-0 So. Dominique Hawkins. Woodford County coach Scott Hundley countered with 6-4 Jr. David Greenwell, 6-3 Jr. Addison Hollin, 6-7 Jr. Jay Johnson, 6-1 Jr. Rodney Gross, and 5-11 Jr. William Starcher.
Madison Central outscored Woodford County 18-7 in the third quarter on their way to a 68-59 victory. Madison Central held a 17-4 advantage on second chance points and attempted 17 more shots (58-41) than Woodford County.
Madison Central shot 41.4% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 21 Woodford county turnovers. Madison Central held a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Woodford County shot 56.1% from the field including five of 11 from beyond the arc. Dominique Hawkins led the victors with 26 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Nick Ford added 14 points and seven rebounds. 6-2 Sr. Jared Pyatt chipped in with 11 points.
Jay Johnson led Woodford County with 21 points, nine rebounds, and six blocked shots. David Greenwell added 16 points. Rodney Gross recorded 12 points on four of four from the field and four of six from the free throw line.
