Somerset coach Don Daniel started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Alex Lange, 6-1 So. Tyler Megargel, 6-3 Sr. Clayton Stringer, 6-0 So. Matt Gordon, and 5-9 Fr. Cam Cheuvront. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-2 Sr. Brandon Hager, 6-3 So. Chase Fain, 6-4 Sr. Dylan Pohl, 5-8 Sr. David Martin, and 5-11 Fr. Will Henderson.
West Jessamine, on the strength of 69.2% field goal shooting in the first half led 40-20 on their way to a 66-41 victory over Somerset. West Jessamine shot 48.1% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The colts connected on 11 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 20 Somerset turnovers. Somerset shot 45.7% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Briar Jumpers connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored seven points off seven West Jessamine turnovers.
Dylan Pohl led West Jessamine with 14 points and seven rebounds. 6-5 Jr. Sean Donaldson also scored 14 points. Brandon Hager and Chase Fain added 12 and 10 points respectively.
Clayton Stringer led Somerset with 11 points and five rebounds. Alex Lange added seven points.
