Clay County coach Robert Marcum started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Matthew Mitchell, 6-2 Sr. Codi Roberts, 6-5 Sr. Adam Gay, 6-1 Jr. Zach McGeorge, and 6-4 Sr. JV Hooker.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Taylor Martin, 6-4 Sr. Scott Schuette, 6-5 Jr. Craig Floyd, 5-10 Jr. Bryan Woomer, and 6-0 Sr. Seth Beckham.

Lexington Catholic defeated Clay County by a score of 73-53.  Lexington Catholic shot 46.3% from the field including nine of 22 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Clay County turnovers.  Clay County shot 40.9% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Tigers connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Craig Floyd led Lexington Catholic with 21 points.  Floyd was eight of 10 from the field including three of four from beyond the arc, and two of two from the free throw line.Taylor Martin added 18 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and five steals.  Scott Schuette recorded 16 points including four three point baskets.

Matthew Mitchell led Clay County with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Zach McGeorge and Codi Roberts added 10 and nine points respectively.
