Nelson County coach Kelly Wood started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Shelby Maupin, 5-7 So. AJ Lewis, 6-3 So. Cierra Drake, 5-6 8th grade Caitlin Hagan, and 5-6 Jr. Ashley Wimsett. Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd countered with 5-10 Jr. Kaylyn Cecil, 5-8 Jr. Tara Gilpin, 6-0 Sr. Adelaide Luckett, 5-6 Sr. Hannah Hart, and 5-6 Sr. Natalie Greenwell.
Elizabethtown defeated Nelson County by a score of 59-48. Elizabethtown shot 35.4% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Panthers connected on 21 of 30 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Nelson County turnovers. Nelson County shot 38.3% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven Elizabethtown turnovers. Nelson county outscored Elizabethtown 43-38 points from the field but Elizabethtown held a 21-5 advantage on free throw points.
Adelaide Luckett led Elizabethtown with 13 points, 17 rebounds, and four assists. Hannah Hart and Kaylyn Cecil added 10 and eight points respectively. Natalie Greenwell recorded six points and seven rebounds.
AJ Lewis led Nelson County with 10 points. Cierra Drake Caitlin Hagan, and Ashley Wimsett added nine, nine, and eight points respectively. 6-0 So. Alysa Johnston recorded seven points and five rebounds.
