Lafayette coach Greg Coldiron started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Nick Trisko, 5-10 Jr. William Johnson, 6-7 Fr. Jackson Davis, 5-10 Fr. Charles “Snoop” Johnson, and 6-1 Sr. Dee Yarbrough. Lexington Christian Academy coach Tommy Huston countered with 6-2 Jr. Taylor Barnette, 6-1 Jr. Patrick Nickodem, 6-4 Sr. Chris Staton, 5-8 So. Tyler Harville, and 5-10 Sr. Carter Helton.
The score was tied 37-37 after three quarters but Lafayette pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Lexington Christian Academy 62-54. Lafayette shot 43.1% from the field including three of nine from the three point line. The Generals connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 43.5% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers.
Dee Yarbrough led Lafayette with 22 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Jackson Davis added 15 points and 10 rebounds. William Johnson chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Taylor Barnette led LCA with 16 points and six rebounds. Carter Helton added 12 points.
