Clay County coach James Burchell started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Sabrina Smith, 5-11 So. Morgan Chestnut, 6-1 Sr. Whitney Belle Jackson, 5-5 Jr. Alisha Mitchell, and 5-7 Sr. Kayla Smith.  Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Jr. Alex Botkin, 5-10 Jr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Jr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-7 Jr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-8 So. Octavia Wilson.

Lexington Catholic led 25-11 early in the second quarter on their way to a 49-38 victory over Clay County.  Clay County pulled to within one; 33-32 early in the final quarter but Lexington Catholic outscored the Lady Tigers 16-6 down the stretch.

Lexington Catholic shot 44.7% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Clay County turnovers.  Clay County shot 42.1% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 13 points including two three point baskets and dished out four assists.  Elizabeth Walton added 12 points including two three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds.  Alex Botkin recorded five points, six rebounds, five assists, and six steals.

Kayla Smith led Clay County with 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Morgan Chestnut added eight rebounds and five rebounds.  Whitney Belle Jackson chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.  Alisha Mitchell recorded six points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
