Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Emily Goetz, 5-5 Sr. Lauren Faris, 5-10 Jr. Christine Roush, 5-7 So. Whitney Hartlage, and 5-8 Sr. Juliann Miller.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Sr. Annamarie Campbell, 5-11 Sr. Monica McGreal, 5-10 Sr. Morgan Clemons, 5-5 Sr. Hannah Washle, and 5-4 Sr. Maddie Peabody.

Mercy Academy led 41-33 at halftime but Sacred Heart outscored the Jaguars 26-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 77-68 victory in another classic between these perennial state powers.  Sacred Heart shot 44.4% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 10 Mercy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 42.3% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 20 of 24 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Maddie Peabody led Sacred Heart with 24 points including five three point baskets and dished out five assists.  Annamarie Campbell added 14 points and eight rebounds.  Morgan Clemons recorded 13 points and eight rebounds and Monica McGreal chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.

Emily Goetz led Mercy with 17 points and five rebounds.  Whitney Hartlage added 16 points.  Christine Roush and Lauren Faris chipped in with 12 and 10 points respectively.
