Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Taylor Mynear, 5-7 Jr. Emily Justice, 6-2 Sr. Shomari Kendrick, 5-5 Jr. Sarah Martin, and 5-2 Sr. Jariana Gillespie. Tates Creek coach Justin Cheatham countered with 5-9 So. Katie Pippen, 5-5 So. Lexi Whaley, 6-1 Jr. Peyton Hisel, 5-5 Jr. Michelle Tichenor, and 5-6 So. Oney Harrison.
Lafayette defeated Tates Creek by a score of 59-43. Lafayette shot 55.8% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 28.6% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebound, and scored 13 points off 14 Lafayette turnovers.
Sarah Martin led Lafayette with 16 points including four three point baskets. Taylor Mynear added 15 points on seven of nine from the field including one of two from beyond the arc. Jariana Gillespie recorded 13 points, four rebounds, nine assists, and five steals. Shomari Kendrick chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.
Oney Harrison led Tates Creek with 17 points and three steals. Lexi Whaley added 13 points including three three point baskets. Peyton Hisel pulled down 10 rebounds.
