Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Taylor Mynear, 5-7 Jr. Emily Justice, 6-2 Sr. Shomari Kendrick, 5-5 Jr. Sarah Martin, and 5-2 Sr. Jariana Gillespie.  Madsion Central coach Robbie Cooksey countered with 5-11 So. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Jenna Cornelison, 5-10 Jr. Kristin Congleton, 5-5 So. Larryn Brooks, and 5-5 Sr. Erika Parks.

Lafayette controlled the boards (41-22) in a 58-49 victory over Madison Central.  Lafayette shot 45.7% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 10 0f 20 free throws, scored eight points off 13 Madison Central turnovers, and held a 17-6 advantage on second effort points.  Madison Central shot 39.1% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 18 free throws and scored 20 points off 19 Lafayette  turnovers.

Shomari Kendrick led Lafayette with 18 points and 20 rebounds.  Sarah Martin added 16 points including four three point baskets.  Jariana Gillespie recorded six points and eight assists.  Taylor Mynear chipped in with seven points and seven rebounds.

Jenna Cornelison led Madison Central with 17 points.  Larryn Brooks added 14 points, three assists, and five steals.  Kristin congleton chipped in with seven points and eight rebounds.
