Woodford County coach Scott Hundley started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. David Greenwell, 6-3 Jr. Addison Hollin, 6-7 Jr. Jay Johnson, 5-11 Jr. William Starcher, and 5-3 Jr. Aaron Stover. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-1 Sr. Austin Dunn, 6-0 Sr. Ja”Ree Patton, 6-2 Sr. Brandon Hager, 5-10 Sr. Jordan Wood, and 5-9 Sr. Cameron Watts.
Woodford County led 38-31 at halftime but West Jessamine rallied for a 64-54 victory. West Jessamine shot 43.8% from the field including one of seven from the three point line. The Colts connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Woodford County turnovers. Woodford County shot 44.9% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc. The Yellowjackets connected on seven of 15 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 West Jessamine turnovers.
6-2 Sr. Bradley Strait led West Jessamine with 21 points including 11 of 14 free throws, and pulled down 10 rebounds. 6-4 Sr. Dylan Pohl added 18 points and eight rebounds.
Jay Johnson led Woodford County with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots. David Greenwell added 14 points.
