Franklin County raced out to a 28-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 55-29 victory over West Jessamine. Franklin County improves to 6-0 while West Jessamine remains winless at 0-6 for the season. Franklin County recorded 19 first downs and 534 yards of total offense. The Flyers were penalized 15 times for 168 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted. West Jessamine recorded seven first downs and 164 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized 11 times for 78 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.
Daniel Anderson led Franklin County’s ground attack with 100 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Ryan Timmons carried the ball three times for 53 yards and a touchdown. Logan Woodside completed 15 of 27 passes for 299 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions. Ryan Timmons caught six passes for 213 yards and four touchdowns. Chris Roberts added two receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Jones led the defense with five solo tackles, three assisted tackles, and a fumble recovery. Jay Brough added four solo tackles, three assisted tackles, and a fumble recovery.
Ryan Horne led West Jessamine’s ground game with 72 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Ryan Horne completed two of 12 passes for 39 yards with one interception. Brent Bailey caught one pass for 35 yards. Jonah Gentry led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles. Hunter Knuckles added six solo and four assisted tackles. Robert Irgang chipped in with six solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling nine yards. Sean Donaldson had a remarkable stat line with three solo tackles, two assisted tackles, a 70 yard interception return for a touchdown, a 39 yard interception return for a touchdown, and a 25 yard blocked punt return for a touchdown.
