Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Patrick Keller, 6-5 Sr. Craig Floyd, 6-8 Jr. Jack Whitman, 5-10 Jr. Dillon Avare, and 5-10 Sr. Bryan Woomer. DeSales coach John Mingus countered with 6-3 So. Mark Schurfranz, 6-1 So. Nathan Roush, 6-6 Sr. Evan Bingham, 5-10 Sr. Cameron Duncan, and 5-9 Sr. Brandon Brooks.
Lexington Catholic raced out to a 15-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 57-43 victory over DeSales. Lexington Catholic shot 50% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line. The Knights connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 DeSales turnovers. DeSales shot 30.6% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on 17 of 28 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Craig Floyd led Lexington Catholic with 19 points including three three point baskets. 5-10 Sr. Rashad Bennett added 11 points. Patrick Keller recorded eight points and six rebounds.
Nathan Roush led DeSales with 11 points. Brandon Brooks and Cameron Duncan added nine and eight points respectively. Evan Bingham recorded seven points and 11 rebounds.
