Tates Creek coach Wayne Breeden started the following lineup:  6-4 Jr. Braxton McFarland, 6-2 Sr. Darius Gibson, 6-4 Fr. Jordan Fucci, 6-0 Jr. Vincent Mattox, and 6-0 Sr. Dai Quan Epps.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Tommy Huston countered with 6-2 Sr. Travis Branham, 6-1 Sr. Patrick Nickodem, 6-3 Jr. Jon Lannertone, 5-8 Jr. Tyler Harville, and 6-2 Sr. Taylor Barnette.

Darius Gibson hit a three point basket in the final second of overtime to give Tates Creek a 56-53 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  LCA held a 22-13 in the second quarter but Tates Creek rallied for the victory.  Tates Creek shot 42.9% from the field including two of 14 from the three point line.  The Commodores connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 42.2% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Tates Creek turnovers.

Darius Gibson led Tates Creek with 13 points and eight rebounds.  Braxton McFarland added 12 points and five rebounds.  Dai Quan Epps recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.  Jordan Fucci chipped in with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Taylor Barnette led LCA with 15 points and seven rebounds.  Patrick Nickodem added 12 points.  6-2 Jr. Taylor Blair recorded 11 points including three three point baskets.
