Bryan Station  vs.  Henry Clay

Bryan Station coach Michael Allen started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Larry Morton, 6-2 Sr. Marcus Williams, 6-2 Jr. Kenyon Hipps, 5-10 Jr. Tyler Smith, and 5-9 So. Jordan Henry.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-6 So. Trey Grundy, 6-4 So. Jordan Green, 6-5 Jr. Darien Tichenor, 6-0 So. Christen Cunningham, and 5-8 Sr. Wes Kimball.

Henry Clay So. Teddy Ware nailed a key three point basket to give his team a 40-37 lead and trigger a surge to give Henry Clay a 49-39 victory over Bryan Station.  Henry Clay shot 48.8% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 23 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 31% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled  down 28 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 25 Henry Clay turnovers.

Jordan Green led the victors with 14 points.  Christen Cunningham added 12 points and six assists.  Trey Grundy recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Marcus Williams led Bryan Station with 12 points.  Larry Morton added nine points and six rebounds.

Henry Clay     12  11  10  16 – 49

 

Bryan Station (39) – Morton 9, Williams 12, Hipps 4, Smith 6, Henry 4, Allen 2, Evans 2.

 

Henry Clay (49) – Grundy 10, Green 14, Tichenor 2, Cunningham 12, Kimball 4, Blackburn 2, Ware 5.
