Hamilton will be bringing his national powerhouse team, Hargrave Military Academy, to Kentucky for a two game swing January 7-8, 2012. Hargrave will play TRUE Academy on January 7th at Scott County High School at 8:45 pm following the Scott Co vs. Bell Co game. Hargrave will also play at Georgetown College on January 8th at 3:30 vs. Rise Academy. Hargrave features five players who have signed Division 1 scholarships, Montrezl Harrell (Virginia Tech), Codi Miller-McIntyre (Wake Forest), Andre Washington (Wake Forest), John Burke (UMKC), and Charles Buggs (Minnesota). Hargrave also features Louisville native Ryan Taylor who played for Louisville Western High School last season. Hargrave currently has an 18-0 record and is ranked #2 nationally by multiple basketball media outlets. Hargrave‘s assistant coach and head strength and conditioning coach is former Georgetown College star Derrick White. “To be able to come back to Scott County as a head coach, and play in front of so many friends and family is a dream come true,” A.W. Hamilton said in a recent interview. “The state of Kentucky loves basketball, and we are excited to come play in front of such passionate people.”
